Summer Venue Facilities Staff: The San Diego Symphony is looking for candidates to join our facilities team to assist with our summer site build and maintenance. Experience with construction, maintenance, landscaping, customer service or venue operations is very helpful. All positions will be temporary, through the summer. Vice President, Artistic Planning – This position will design and oversee vision and artistic planning of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra (SDSO); Work with the Music Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to create seasons that are vibrant and balanced for audiences and orchestra. Incorporate innovative concepts and ideas into the concert experience at Jacobs Music Center and also regional venues that connect San Diego Symphony musicians with the greater community including Baja California. Identify and build relationships with key artistic partners including guest soloists and artists across many genres. Finance and Information Systems

Chief Financial Officer – As a key member of the Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the Chief Executive Officer and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the Association. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the Association. Director of Human Resources – The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is responsible to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's human resources functions, programs, processes, and performance for both administrative staff and orchestra musicians. The role of the DHR is to be a cultural catalyst and guardian; and advises management and staff on human resource issues related to the organization. In coordination with the General Manager and Manager of Orchestra Personnel, work with the musicians on issues including benefits, leaves and employee relations. DHR provides oversight and strategic direction for all aspects of HR, and is the primary manager of recruitment and retention, employee relations, compensation/benefits, performance management, organizational development and staff training. Entry Level IT Support Specialist – The Symphony is looking for a candidate to fill an Entry Level IT Support Specialist position, starting as soon as possible. This will be a 6-month, benefit eligible, position with possibility of extension. Candidates must have experience working with software upgrades for Windows 7 – 10, a current and valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Duties will include set up of desktops, laptops and peripheral devices (keyboards, printers). Position will also entail installing and configuring appropriate software, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues and providing orientation to users regarding proper operation of new software and computer equipment.
